Dear friends, what the Christian should be doing at all times, should be done now with greater care and devotion, so that the Lenten Fast
Enjoined by the apostles may be fulfilled, not simply by abstinence from food but above all by renunciation of sin.
Chrism Mass at the Cathedral, Wednesday 23rd March. There will be a bus from St. Mary’s Chorley car park leaving at 5.15pm. Please contact St. Mary’s if you wish to travel on it (01257 262537)
The corporal works of Mercy provide much food for thought in Lent….
To feed the hungry
To give drink to the thirsty.
To clothe the naked.
To shelter the homeless.
To visit the sick.
To visit the imprisoned.
To bury the dead.
Stations of the Cross every Friday evening at 7.00pm.
Lenten Scripture Until Holy Week I would recommend the book of Exodus, remembering all the time that Moses is the Jesus figure of the Old Testament.
