March 16th – Prayers and help needed
Your prayers are asked for Linda Carty, a Catholic British grandmother. She has been on Death Row in Texas since 2002. She can only be reprieved by the Prison Governor who is regretfully not known for a merciful attitude. Clive Stafford Smith, a lawyer, international campaigner and legal director of reprieve says that she has had poor defense at her trial and as a British citizen could have been found a good lawyer through the British Consulate but it did not happen. If you have no access to the Internet, would you please ask a member of the Justice and Peace group so that they can add you to the petition?
