POPE ENTRUSTS THE WORLD TO MARY

At the recent  Year of Faith Marian day, Pope Francis formally entrusted the world to Mary. He said “ Let us invoke Mary’s intercession.

May she help us to be open to God’s surprises, to be faithful to Him each and every day, and to praise and thank him, for he is our strength”

Mary points to Jesus, she asks us to bear witness to Jesus, she constantly guides us to her son because in him alone do we find salvation”.

                                    Oct 20^th WORLD MISSION SUNDAY

This Sunday is celebrated worldwide on this penultimate Sunday in October. World mission Sunday  encourages                   prayer and financial support for the worldwide mission of the Catholic Church.   The collection is for the support of the mission of the Church where it is too young or too poor to support itself. The collection provides

places of worship,

support for missionaries,

training and support for thousands of catechists who teach the faith and provide spiritual support in their own communities.
