SCRIPTURE

You are, all of you, children of God through faith in Christ Jesus. All baptised in Christ Jesus, you have all clothed yourselves in Christ, and there are no more distinctions between Jew and Greek, slave and free, male and female, but all of you are one in Christ Jesus.

Who do you say I am?

If anyone wants to be a follower of mine, let him renounce himself and  take up his cross and follow me.

FROM THE VATICAN…THE Pope said

Christians are called to be revolutionaries, changing the world one heart at a time.

The Pope repeatedly  called upon Catholics to take seriously their responsibility to bring God’s love and the  promise of salvation to the poor, the sad and the suffering. Again this week the Pope has condemned the scandal of world hunger saying, the global level of  food production  is sufficient to feed the plant’s people….yet millions are malnourished.

CHRISTIANITY One of the most important things to understand about Christianity is that it is not primarily a philosophy or system of ethics or a religious  ideology.  It is a relationship to the unsettling person of Jesus Christ….to the God  man

                                                (Fr. Robert Barron)

…….hence today’s crucial question asked by Jesus…”Who do YOU say I am?”

We pray  for the repose of the soul of Patsy Scott’s mother who died recently in Ireland.
