SCRIPTURE You are, all of you, children of God through faith in Christ Jesus. All baptised in Christ Jesus, you have all clothed yourselves in Christ, and there are no more distinctions between Jew and Greek, slave and free, male and female, but all of you are one in Christ Jesus.Who do you say I am?

If anyone wants to be a follower of mine, let him renounce himself and  take up his cross and follow me.

FROM THE VATICAN…THE Pope said

Christians are called to be revolutionaries, changing the world one heart at a time.

The Pope repeatedly  called upon Catholics to take seriously their responsibility to bring God’s love and the  promise of salvation to the poor, the sad and the suffering.

The revolution started 2000 years ago by Jesus who accepted death inorder to save humanity, is the longest lasting revolution in history and the one with the greatest impact on the world because it focused not on territory or power, but on changing human hearts.

Pope Francis urged Catholics to leave the comfort of their parishes, go out into the streets and share the good news with others.

Each Catholic has an obligation   to witness to gospel joy in their families, neighbourhoods, workplaces and schools, but they must remember that the poor are the first to need and  deserve the good news and the concrete expressions of Christian love and charity.

Further to this …one  of our bishops has said that he will no longer buy meat because the production of meat  is expensive in terms of  the consumption  of crops by animals that we then eat…

e.g the growing of crops for farm animals in America uses up nearly half of the countries water supply and 80% of its agricultural land.
