SCRIPTURE

The gospel for the second Sunday of Lent is always that of the  Transfiguration is always offered as a n encouragement to the one who has accepted God as Father. It is called a  theophany…God revealing himself to his people. The first reading from Genesis is another theophany in which God commits Himself to the  Magnificat promise “ made to Abraham  and  his desdendants.

Abraham put his faith in the Lord who counted this as making him justified.

Our homeland is in heaven.

This is  my Son, the chosen one.  Listen to him.
