The Lord is slow to anger and rich in graciousness, forgiving faults and transgression. (Nb 14:18) There is nothing like the mercy of God, which forgives every sin, big and small. We ourselves find it hard to emulate this, often reaching a point of exasperation in the face of daily annoyances. The more we focus on on Gods generosity, on the mercy he shows us, the more we are able to let go of our own pettiness.
