Faith to Face the Storm

Like me, you need a faith capable of destroying all the obstacles the world will present, and hell as well…. Ifs a real storm wind driving our sails. Are you going to furl the sails in order to shelter your boat in the port, for fear that the going will get too rough, or are you going to let yourself sail out onto the open sea, driven by the powerful wind of God’s Spirit?

Don’t just Iook at the present state of things, which could destroy you completely; getting ready to rebuild…. The Lord is with you. Ask him for faith that can tear up and move mountains because it stands on his power and on his love…a faith that does not trust in self at all, for it knows itself in truth-that humble faith which never fails to touch the Lord’s heart…. Tell him often: “I am nothing, but you are all. I have nothing, but you possess all. I can do nothing, but you can do all things. What I’m asking you today is so much easier than moving mountains, and you promised to grant that much as a reward for faith no bigger than a mustard seed.”
