Why would some react with violence to the bearers of such a pleasant invitation? Why feel annoyed and threatened by this extraordinarily generous king? Their behaviour exemplifies the irrationality of sin, a false understanding of freedom, and the refusal to let ourselves be loved and feted by our Creator and Redeemer. Nonetheless, God will never cease preparing and providing this rich feast of his Son. For true happiness comes when we realise, with Saint Paul, that \u201cI can do all things through him who strengthens me.\u201d \u201cLet us be glad and rejoice in his salvation.\u201d<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"MAS_MAS_N50_Prayer_Title\"><strong>Entrance Antiphon<\/strong><br \/>\nIf you, O Lord, should mark iniquities, Lord, who could stand? He will swallow up death for ever; and the Lord <span class=\"PetitesCAP2-N11-Rouge-slash-N280\">God<\/span> will wipe away tears from all faces, and the reproach of his people he will take away from all the earth, for the <span class=\"PetitesCAP2-N11-Rouge-slash-N280\">Lord<\/span> has spoken. It will be said on that day, \u201cBehold, this is our God; we have waited for him, that he might save us.
