David Cameron\u2019s Bill to redefine marriage must be agreed by the House of Lords before it can become law.\u00a0Please contact a member of the House of Lords today. Urge them to say no to the Marriage (Same Sex Couples) Bill.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The Bill is expected to reach the Lords in the next few weeks. The Government is pushing ahead as fast as possible. We need you to act now.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Prime Minister wants to redefine marriage, even though he failed to mention it in his party manifesto when asking for people’s votes. He also failed to mention it when he joined with Nick Clegg to produce the Coalition Programme for Government.<\/span><\/p>\n

Many Peers are opposed to the Bill. The political parties don\u2019t have as much control in the Lords, there is a significant block of independent Peers and the Government has less control over debates in the House of Lords. So there is all to play for.<\/span><\/p>\n
