\nJesus is stripped of his garments<\/p>\n

We adore Thee, O Christ, and we praise Thee<\/em>.<\/em><\/strong>
\nBecause by Thy Holy Cross Thou hast redeemed the World.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Jesus is stripped not just of his cloak, but of his dignity, his respect, his rights. Stripped and completely naked, our Saviour waits patiently for what is to come. He is a poor man and the poor must always wait.\u00a0\u00a0 His nakedness challenges our affluent society with its false standards and shallow values.<\/em><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Lord, you know the loneliness of the empty chair,
\nthe parting with loved ones, the going away of children.
\nLord, help us when sickness seems to strip away our protections
\nand nails us to a bed of pain.
\nStrengthen us when all the support we have in life:
\n– family, health and possessions – are taken away
\nand we stand there raw and bleeding because these things
\nhave been so much a part of us.
\nLord, let us remember this moment of your Passion and be consoled.<\/p>\n

Let us proclaim the Mystery of Faith.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Dying you destroyed our death.
\nRising you restored our life.
\nLord Jesus, come in glory.<\/p>\n

I love Thee Jesus, my love above all things;
\nI repent with my whole heart for having offended Thee.
\nNever permit me to separate myself from Thee again.
