First Station
\nJesus is<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span>condemned to death<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

We adore Thee, O Christ, and we praise Thee.
\n<\/span><\/i><\/b>Because by Thy Holy Cross Thou hast redeemed the World.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This is a scene found today in many of countries torn apart by war and bloodshed.\u00a0 In the city of Jerusalem there are riots, marches, protests.\u00a0 Terrorists pave the streets.\u00a0 Shouts of \u201cCrucify him, crucify him,\u201d ring loud and clear.\u00a0 Suddenly there is a hushed silence.\u00a0 Jesus appears at the door of Pilate\u2019s Courtroom \u2013 a man alone and condemned.\u00a0 Pressure groups have won the day.\u00a0 Jesus must die, a human life must be destroyed.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

Lord,\u00a0<\/span>grant us the grace not to condemn life\u00a0<\/span>but to accept and respect it.
\n<\/span>Human life is sacred from womb to tomb;\u00a0<\/span>no motive can ever make its destruction right.
\n<\/span>Enlighten those who exploit the dignity of human life\u00a0<\/span>to see the futility of violence and murder.
\n<\/span>May the gift of your Holy Spirit lead us to recognise across all frontiers,\u00a0<\/span>the faces of our brothers and sisters, children of God,\u00a0<\/span>our Father in heaven.<\/span><\/p>\n

Let us proclaim the Mystery of Faith.
\n<\/span>Dying you destroyed our death.
\n<\/span>Rising you restored our life.
\n<\/span>Lord Jesus, come in glory.
\n<\/span>
\nI love Thee Jesus, my love above all things
\n<\/span>I repent with my whole heart for having offended Thee.
\n<\/span>Never permit me to separate myself from Thee again.
